Somerset Timbers sales trade manager Ian Burger knows a thing or two about wood. In a new Did you know? series, Ian will share his knowledge with the aim of fostering a better understanding (and appreciation) of timber production in South Africa.
He will start at the beginning with the young pine seedling and take you on a journey that provides insight into the plantation life of a pine tree that reaches commercial maturity anywhere between 35 and 40 years old.
