Somerset Timbers acknowledges the incredibly selfless work being done by the team who are growing hope at the Heartlands Baby Sanctuary.
Full-time co-ordinator Silvester Mahloane and Bruno Herrmann, have embarked on a 3 000m2 expansion of the food garden through the Seeds of Hope project. The gardens are not only used for food but also for therapy, helping the children learn about the planet, respecting and taking care of plants, and knowing where their food comes from.
Somerset Timbers was able to help in a small way by donating the wood for the garden planter boxes and for the new duck and chicken coup.
Heartlands Baby Sanctuary is a great social upliftment and community development initiative. Contact them for a tour so that you can see first-hand the amazing work that is being done here.
