We laminate our stairtreads from selected kiln dried Pine using waterproof glue. Lamination ensure treads remain straight and stable.

Grandis Laminated stairtread 44x300mm
Grandis (Eucalyptus Grandis) from South Africa is an ideal economical hardwood for various products. Chosen because of its colour consistency, length availability and performance. All Grandis supplied by Somerset Timbers is continuously replanted to ensure sustainability. Its stability and economical price allows Grandis decking to be an excellent alternative to other imported hardwood's such as Garapa and Balau. The colour of Grandis is generally light pink to brown and will darken after initial sealing.
